In response to a question we saw on facebook recently and anticipated questions, we are delighted to reveal UNIBEN technique in calculating your aggregate score after writing the PUTME. This information is very vital to every student who wish to gain admission into this great citadel of knowledge.
As against some other university, the University of Benin combines both UTME and PUTME in determining the aggregate score for each prospective student. Your aggregate score determines if you will eventually gain admission or not (putting the desired course of study cut-off mark in consideration). this aggregate score is arrived by dividing your UTME score by eight (8) and dividing your PUTME score by 2. NOTE that the PUTME score is over 100.
A sample of how it is been calculated is given below:
Assuming a student has 268 in utme and eventually gets 62 in putme:
utme - 268/8 = 33.5
putme - 62/2 = 31
aggregate - 33.5+31
= 64.5
WHY MUST ALL STUDENT KNOW THIS?
The information given above will help prospective student to:
1. Know their stand (the percentage of their aggregate score and what they need more to meet the desired cut-off mark for their desired course of study)
2. Understand the University's approach to admitting student and know how to secure their place in this great institution
3. Beat down the mystery of UNAWARENESS
4. Adequately prepare for the PUTME with relevant information that helps them compete with other "deformed" competitors
..........and others
GOOD LUCK! GOOD LUCK!
